Rama’s Barn
This film describes a growing phenomenon in Albanian society: the pressure to have as many material goods as possible and to identify oneself with them. The other side of the coin is the testimony of Ramë Avdyli, a shepherd who lives far away in the mountains of Tropoja, together with his wife. Rama reveals how living in the mountains, makes him happy even though he has to walk about 4 hours from the nearest village (Valbonë), to get to his place, where there is neither electricity nor drinking water. This film is mostly addressed to young Albanians, as a need to reflect on 'what makes us happy'.
