Confessing the reality of heaven

Reality is not only what we see or feel. Reality is also who you agree with: God or Satan. Jesus will return to establish the reality of heaven, the Kingdom, on earth. Until then, we pray that God’s will be done on earth as it already is in heaven.

God has given us everything we need in Christ. His promises to us, which are only available to those who are in Christ by faith, enable us to share His nature. We have access to God’s power and a legal right to His promises by the blood of Jesus. We walk by faith, not by sight. It’s important to declare the reality of heaven, the promises of God, even if what God says contradicts what we see or feel. The promises of God are voice-activated. Find promises and confess them.

For example, “I am blessed with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ.” You can combine promises with pleading the blood of Jesus. For instance: “I have the mind of Christ according to 1 Corinthians 2:16, so I plead the blood against forgetfulness.” Or, “Isaiah 53 says that I’m healed by the wounds of Christ, so I plead the blood against sickness.” Verses which use prepositional phrases like in Christ, in Him, through Him and others often contain statements about who we really are. These verses are a good place to start when assembling a list of God’s promises.

God will only tell us to do something if we can do it. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we’re able to live a life that’s pleasing to Him. Rebuke the lusts of the flesh and activate the fruit of the Holy Spirit. The fruit is listed in Galatians 5:22-23: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

If we consistently confess the promises of God and audibly declare who we are in Christ in faith, we will remain focused, firm in the faith and we’ll begin to experience more heaven in our lives (healings, miracles, blessings, etc.) We overcome by the blood of the lamb, the word of our testimony and by fearing the Lord more than we fear death. Submit to God, resist the devil and you will win.
