The Singapore Grip, starring Jane Horrocks, is on ITV at 9pm Sunday. All six episodes will be available on BritBox following the first episode.
The six part drama set in Singapore in 1941/2 covers the Japanese invasion and beginnings of the end of colonial rule in the region.
Luke Treadaway, David Morrissey, Colm Meaney, Charles Dance and rising stars Elizabeth Tan and Georgia Blizzard are also in series which was adapted from Booker Prize winner JG Farrell’s novel by Oscar winning screenwriter and playwright Christopher Hampton.
