"Pixote" is one of the most shocking and touching movies which came from Brazil. It's about the life of street children of Sao Paulo and Rio De Janeiro, and the main character is 10-year-old boy Pixote. The plot follows around from the juvenile prison back to the streets and frankly exposes the horrors of the city. Hustling, drug dealing, fraud, and crime are all observed by these kids -they are painfully used to all this. Director Hector Babenco invited real street kids for acting, introducing even more brutal reality to the film. "Pixote 1981" movie is highly recommended for watching but not for everyone. An emotionally destructive movie.
