Buldermanden 1996 short danish film with subtitles

Buldermanden 1996 short film is the first film of Jesper W. Nielsen trilogy Forbudt for børn. In Hungary it was released as “A nagymama pincéje és a mumus” and in Sweden as “Skorstensspöket”. This is quite successful attempt of humorous horror movie, something between Hitchcock and Kafka. Close up scenery, black-and-white cinema, threatening audio effects makes Buldermanden horrible even for adults.
The two siblings Ida and Scrubsak are visiting grandmother, tight old lady without understanding of children feelings. To manage with children she threatens them with Boggart-man (Buldermanden) who lives in the chimney and eats bad children. Ida suggest Scrubsak to drop into a chimney and get lost teddy bear… However, against the genre, story ends well for both children.
