En 2014, la 82e édition 24 Heures du Mans a été marquée par le grand retour de Porsche dans la catégorie reine. En 2015, ce sont plus trois, mais quatre constructeurs qui vont s'affronter pour la victoire au classement général avec l'arrivée de Nissan aux côtés de Toyota, Porsche et Audi.
